Adventures in Art Elementary and Middle School, K-6 Explore art and history together as we go back in time to discover the artists and styles of art through the ages. Lessons will include a wealth of art content including art history, techniques, analysis, and art making. It will be a hands on class teaching art skills in a fun and creative manner.
Advanced Studio Grade 7-12 This class is an opportunity to hone your art skills. Students can work on teacher designed lessons or work cooperatively with the instructor to create an individualized plan targeted towards their desires and interests.
The emphasis of this class will be technique and art making with some art history mixed in to support instruction.
Meet the instructor: Brenda Babel
She is a certified art teacher in both Ohio and Kentucky. She received a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati and an M.Ed. from Xavier University. She has experience teaching students in grades K-12 in the traditional school setting. She enjoys exploring history through art and working in almost any medium. She is a printmaker and has a studio located in White Oak. Her work has been exhibited at U.C. and Xavier as well as several venues throughout Cincinnati .
